Two people can stare at the same blue sky, with one complaining it’s too bright & the other rejoicing over the sun kissing their skin.
Perspective changes everything.
Have you ever felt yourself get completely bogged down around certain people? And then surge with happiness around a different crowd?
It’s all about the perspective you take on when you’re around those individuals.
Choosing to keep a Godly outlook can be exhausting, when others around you are quick to complain or view life through a negative sense.
The easy thing to do is chime in on gossip & pity parties, but real power comes from choosing to stand there, listen, and not add to the negative.
The exhausting part comes from the human side of you that wants to give in to cheap & temporary satisfactions of this world.
You have to fight for the right of your perspective.
“Your eye is a lamp that provides light for your body. When your eye is good, your whole body is filled with light. But when it is bad, your body is filled with darkness. Make sure that the light you think you have is not actually darkness. If you are filled with light, with no dark corners, then your whole life will be radiant, as though a floodlight were filling you with light.” Luke 11: 34 – 36.
That’s a long passage, I know, but let it sink in.
May our eyes hold the perspective God desires us to see life through, so we can fill our bodies with light.
Fight against darkness by choosing to maintain a Godly perspective on this world & offering the lens cap to those who have never seen through it.
Changing our perspective will change our lives.
